Arrow Car won't Start! Clicking sounds NEED SOME HELP!

Hey guys, got a problem starting the car and need some help. The ignition turns on but when I tryand crank the car I just get a rapid click click click

The first thing I thought was the battery, but my buddy came over with some jumper cables and we tried charging it like 5 times and it still won't start!
Any suggestions? Need some help on this one asap, thanks guys

Are the terminal bolts tight? Did you let the jumper cables sit on your battery for 5-10 min before starting? Is the green light in you battery illuminated?

No each time we tried to jump it we let it sit for a couple of minutes at the most. Does that make a difference?
What light are u talking about?

If you let the jumper cables sit on the battery the other alternater will charge your's. If you battery is realy dead it will take a little bit to start. Try putting the cables back on and let it sit for ten min then give it a try. I still have the original battery (delco) and on the top there is alittle window and it glows green if the glow is gone it's time for a new battery.

Are your lights and accessories still working? Do your headlights slowly dim? Could be your starter relay.

when I was trying to jump it we took the jumpers off for a second and the lights did dim, but the interior lights and dash lights are on normally

It's sounds like either your starter relay or starter. A couple things you could do- Try jumping the relay to see if you can get power to the starter. OR jump the "S" and "M" terminals on the starter to see if the starter is good. Good luck!

You're in a six speed. Just push it, and remember to always park on a hill.

GL on your fix.

starter relay = replace it
you could probably jump the starter w/ a screwdriver, just connect the terminals. Be Careful though. Or use the jumper cables. Good luck

Well guys took my old battery out and up to advance auto parts and had it tested and it was indeed dead as a doornail!
Bought a new one up at NAPA and the cars runnin fine! Gotta say I'm glad it wasn't the starter b/c I really didn't have the $200+ for a new one
