Default first day with synthetic

I realy like what I felt today. I switch to synthetic oil on my 99 TA, and I realy can tell the differents. I put in Royal Purple 5-30 and it seams that my engine loves it. It feals effortless in its performance, and the engine it self is very quiet. It looks that I will be very happy with this decision.

Glad your impressed with it I was considering switching mine from dino to Valvolines Synthetic..i use the VR1 racing oil in my 4 wheeler and there was a noticeable difference in the engine overheating in the mud when there was lil to no air flow over the radiator..it kept mine from getting as hot as fast...and the engine seemed spunkier

I dunno...I kinda know what he's talking about. I wanted to run synthetic for the first time in the Camaro I recently bought. After a lot of research I felt I couldn't go wrong with the German Castrol. I want more data on the reformulated stuff, but for now local AZ has an ample supply of the old green stuff. It did seem to run particularly quiet and healthy, great pressure, and if you're one of those guys that really becomes one with his engine, you can really tell that it's feeling the vibe.

yeah i can attest to it keeping my temps down..cause i drive my four wheeler hard and with lil to no airflow over the radiator because of mud....the dino oil has a tendency to boil faster...any oil will get hot..but the synthetic resists heat better

Yeah i dont know about SOTP feel or it doing much to increase horsepower that you CAN ACTUALLY feel..but from what i have heard the motor will run better...i dont know..i just know i wouldnt put anything different in my four wheeler because of the harsh abuse it sees...if it doesnt break down as fast then i think thats a good reason to run it personally for the added protection
