changing water pump on lt1?

Default changing waterpump?

how hard is it to change the waterpump on an lt1. mine just went out and i can get a new one for 70.00 bucks. how hard is it to get to and what is the average time one would take to change it.

Its easy. Just pull the air cleaner assembly to get it out of the way. Drain radiator, disconnect all the hoses, undo 6 bolts and it comes right out. I don't even have to remove my fans but if you still have the AIR pump and bracket you might have to for clearance issues. Just be careful about getting coolant all over the opti.

I could do it in a couple hours if I were in a hurry.

exactly what he said....as long as its the stock pump you should be fine with removing the radiator fans. Biggest PITA is a few of the bolts on the pump are a bear to get to, just get creative and you should be fine as long as you have some semi long ratchet extensions.

yup thats what i did, i got 11rwhp from my meziere pump great mod for under 200 bux

the hoses are kind of a pain, but other than pretty easy.
