Default What to do with used oil?

Hey guys,
I'm going to be changing my oil tomorow by myself for the first time. So I was wondering what am I supposed to do with the old oil? My friend says I should take it to autozone but I need to buy a special type of container otherwise they wont take the oil? Can anyone confirm this? Thanks.

The more important question is what oil are going to use
Seriously, i think that Advanced Auto will take as much oil as you want. Dont quote me on this.

Use the empty oil bottles for the used oil. Take it to your Autozone, have them empty the bottles in their tank.

Typically, you walk the oil to their tank and dump it in, doesn't matter what kind of container its in.

i always just pour in the new oil, then put the old oil in the bottles that the new oil comes in. Autozone doesnt give a crap what you give it to them in.. i gave them a gallon in a muriatic acid jug, they didnt care..

Cool thanks guys. Alright, I have a big problem. I was trying to change the oil today and I tried to take off the oil drain bolt, but it wont budge. I tried everything and I think I might have stripped the bolt. Is there anything I can do to get it off?

If the head is rounded off, you can try hammering a smaller socket you dont really care for on there and see if that works.

When you were trying to remove it were you using a 6 or 12-point socket?

You can take anything like oil, coolant, etc to your local dump.
