where to get rid of old fluids?

i know this has been asked before, but where can i get rid of old coolant,trans fluid,and used oil filter??? TIA

drop them off at a pep boys, or any other service center. They take them back for free here

Well, i know most auto places take used oil, but i wasnt sure about other fluids. Will pepboys take my oil filters too?

well the recycle pick up at the house, but my chain link fence and lack of weed eater sometimes gets some oil too.. sorry to all the tree hugers

Pour it around your fence and the edge of the house. It's free and keeps the bugs away. Been doing it for years here and no pest control man to pay.

Look in your local phone book under recycle centers. That or your local dump. Most autopart stores just take oil and trans fluid. You could also ask a local gas station.

just dump them, its cheaper than driving in to autozone with 20 gallons of fluids in loose containers flying around in your back seat or bed of your truck. besides, it came out of the ground to begin with, so why not put it back. and its refined so like the old adage says, leave somehting better than you found it. so IMO putting refined oil back into the ground is more points than recycling it. besides its there for when our great great great great great great great great.........................................gran d kids need oil for their 3005 camaro, they have it.
