keyless remote quit working today but!!!!

keyless remote quit working today but!!!! 2 other friends quit working too. All 3 of us remote pads and backup pads quit working today 
mine car is 99z other are 02 SS Le's i just thougth it was werd that all of our cars did it on same day ? Any ideas? lol anyone else quit working today

Any ideas? lol anyone else quit working today Hey Daniel, add mine to the list of possessed remotes in Hawaii! My remote quit working last night too. After work it took several tries to get the doors to lock. This morning they wouldn't work at all. I put some new batteries in both remotes, but they still don't work. I'm thinking my bcm is acting up (maybe moisture related from all the rain we've had lately). I've got the service manuals at home if you need to take a look at them. I'm going to try to fix this tonight after work, I'll let you know how it goes.

This is def. weird...I've put new batteries in both remotes, completed the synchronizing procedure for both remotes. Tested them while sitting in the car and they work fine. I then get out of the car and try to lock it with either of the remotes...and nothing. None of the buttons work on either remote. I guess my next step is to check the bcm itself. But why would it re-synch both remotes and then not work after that? Like I said...weird. Has anybody else had this happen?

ok that big Globe thing you say is a bad *** satellite on a ship. It will be out here for testing for a while do you think thats why? new i got late tonight
The service manual does say that the remotes won't work right if you are close to a strong microwave source. That might explain why its happening to 5+ cars at the same time. Kinda strange that it hasn't affected my the remotes for my wife's car though. I hope this isn't the kind of thing that will "fry" the bcm...
