This is the one I got some of my info from.
Lots of good reading here as well. The problem like this guy states, is that it seems like most things in this day and age change over time. Most likely going to the cheapest supplier. Happy Reading.

The only test I saw that recommended a Fram was actually the GM Truck site one that listed the Fram Xtended Guard as a recommended buy. In fact it actually had the highest score.

True, the newer Delco E core filters are junk.

I put a fram oil filter on my camaro. had it on for 3 months and drove 2k miles. When I went to take it off, it crushed. I tried every method in removing it and just ended up shredding it. I ended up using a Dremel tool to remove it. I recommend K&N oil filters because of the nut welded to the bottom.
