I use 93 octane because to me 30 cents more for premium does'nt seem too much.

I have always heard that don't quote me on this but, The gas mileage difference in 87 and 93 actually equals itself out, not to mention a lot less carbon buildup. Not to mention I think I would feel bad putting anything but 93, Like giving your kid spoiled milk or something!

i only see 87 89 and 93 everywhere i go. the manual says it needs 91 but i always get 93.besides if you dont run the right octane over time it screws up the engines timing cause the octane for those who dont know the higher the number the longer it burns before the actual combustion so if it explodes at 87 octane timing in a 93 engine its obviously not timed right and youll get bad performance and eventually engine problems.

The 98 octane is equal to ~94, 95 is equal to 91. (Difference betwen (MON+RON)/2 and just plain RON.

i know we use ron numbers here in iceland so i use 93 octane most of the time. it a good thing though here that 95 octane(91 in the us) is the lowest octane pumpgas avalible, priced at mearly 6.5$ per galon and you dont want to know what the premeum is priced at

Yeah, I just moved to Finland little over half a year ago, was hoping for 95 to be 95 in the US system, but its not. And we pay $6.44 a gallon (1.35e or something a liter) for 95.

i know how you feel man. finland, iceland, holland and the uk have the highest fuel prices in the world if i remember correctly. i can still remember when i went to the US in the year 2000 and fuel was something like 1.27$ per galon we filled up our cheap rental for some 13$
