Not the same turn signal question!!!!
Water has been getting into my turn signal housings for weeks now. After replacing a bulb every 2 weeks I decided to do something about it...... So today I went on a binge and bought 2 new housings, and 2 new sockets.
Here is what I did:
1. Installed new sockets
2. lithium greased the hell out of them to keep the water out
But now here is the question.......
I was thinking about using Lexan and cutting it to the exact shape of the front of the turn signal housing, then using clear epoxy to secure it to the face of the housing. Thus, no rocks can crack it, and no water gets in....
What do you think??

I'm eventually going to replace both housings. I've replaced both sockets in the less-than-a-year that I've had my T/A. They are both already destroyed. I put new bulbs in them recently: No DRLs/parking lights/turn signals on either side, so I just left the bulbs out. I really don't feal like shelling out $80+ for new housings and sockets. Until that time comes, I'll just manually blink my rear turn signals.
I got the 2 housings for $70 shipped, and the sockets for around $50 I think
thats a pretty good deal on the lights. but you can get the sockets at autozone for $6 or $8 each and its the same damn thing.

Yeah I have done that before, but what happened was the front glass of the OEM markers cracked over time, and rocks hitting it. That is what makes water get in there. That is also why I am going to try and reinforce them with Lexan tomorrow. Maybe I should post some pics when I am done. Good luck to ya
signals.
