Does anyone get 250 miles
anyone on this forum ever get 250 miles on a tank? My friend was getting that by granny shifting. I tried granny shifting and didn't even come close to 250 miles.

i average 21.5 mpg. what are these tanks, 16 gal or 16.5 gal? i know it's at least 16 gal so we're being conservative here...
21.5 mpg x 16 gallons = 344 miles per tank
i should get roughly 344 miles in a tank. granted i've never ran my tank past 250 miles but still...i have an A4 w/2.73's. these cars do well on gas for what they are.

I got 380 miles out of my tank this weekend....but that was running it too low. I wanted to make it to the station I always fill up at as they still have 100% gas with NO ethanol. I believe I got around 24.5 mpg in mixed driving.

i just checked my mpg on a recent road trip. went about 200 miles, driving 70-80mph and was sitting right around a half tank. it ended up being like 23-24 mpg. i was hoping for a little more. but i guess maybe it's the 3.73's that's hurting the mpg's?

'98 cars get the 15.5 gallon metal tank.
'99+ get a 16.2 gallon plastic tank.
I can get 250 miles to 3/4 tank in my '98 no problem.

Well I on the other hand live in Los Angeles, so you do the math...........
I live about 15 miles from my job and it takes me 45-55 minutes to get home
Averaging about 210 miles to the tank, 13 mpg.............I hate the city!!
