Do all LS1's run rough?

I love the formula, but it runs so much rougher than I was expecting? It shakes the whole car pretty badly between 1200-2000RPM? Basicaly stock, and it still puts out plenty of power?

My little 3.8 idles like a sewing machine by comparison.

Can anything be done?

no its not normal run a tune up on that lil hoe. plugs wires fuel filter. etc.

lots of things can make your car idle bad....if your looking for a lexus idle youve come to the wrong car company...just go through the paces and most of the time you can clear up a idle slightly

I forgot to mention, I did a tuneup on it thinking that would fix it, but it made no difference at all. Although the new fuel filter did make the whining noise coming from the fuel pump go away. Is it worth just throwing new coil packs on it? When the coils went on my v6, they were just the opposite. Fine driving around, but cut out under less and less boost, until they failed completly.

I driven a couple different GTO's, and a Z06 vette, and none of them had a rough idle like this. Is it the age of the motor 76,000miles? Someone mentioned a flywheel imbalance?
