Personally I didn't have any luck with the iridiums, I ended up just putting the stock ones back in.

Same results here also. I installed NGK iridiums and my car lost alot of its power.
I don't know why, I didn't do anything else to the engine.
I'm going to try (time and weather) to install a new set of TR-55's this weekend and see what happens.

My car may be a freak, The fastest I had ever gone in my car in the 1/4 was 118 mph. My car had started slowing to 117 and 116, so I changed my TR55s for TR55IX Iridiums. The car ran 119 mph all night the next trip to the track. The car then began slowing again, so I put TR55s back in. The Iridiums had some small hairline cracks in the electrode porcelin when I pulled them out. I put TR55s in, the car ran 118 mph for two passes at the strip, then slowed to 116 again. Pulled those out and they were damged the same.

Put TR6 plugs in, went back to the track, the car ran 119 mph again and has been high mph in my last 4 trips to the strip with no damage to them. My car is running record E.T,s for me as well now. My car is N/A but damages TR55s like it's blown. It must be getting lean.

Point is, my car went faster with TR55 iridiums, then again with TR6 plugs. My next step will be to try TR6IX Iridiums and see if the car picks up any more.

so what do you think of the tr6s for an NA application(cam only)They are the same price as the tr55s. Which should I go with?

I run TR6 plugs as well.

When I first did heads/cam, I ran TR55s. They worked fine. But after pulling them, "reading the plugs" told me they're too hot.

I read on the plug manufacturer websites that for every 100hp you ad N/A, you should go one step colder.

When you increase compression (heads) you should also go colder.

The TR6 plugs serve that purpose.

Iridiums shouldn't make any more or less power, just last longer.

You're better off being slightly too cold than slightly too hot.

Go with TR6 plugs IMO.

The nitrous guys run great with them N/A all day.

I don't know, maybe I did something wrong
I didn't gap them but checked them before installation, .055 thousands exactly.
I had been told that you "shouldn't" gap iridium plugs. After I installed them I read somewhere that they should have been set at .059 thousands gap.
Could this have made a difference?? Any suggestions?
I really would hate to have all that money in the iridiums go to waste.
