BRAKE light keeps coming on???

BRAKE light keeps coming on??? My BRAKE light keeps coming on for some reason and Im not quite sure why...the last thing I did on my car was the wire mod but I am positive everything is hooked back up right because Ive double checked. It doesnt come on right when I start the car but after a little bit of driving it pops up. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Make sure your master cylinder is to the full line with brake fluid. And if your brake fluid is low enough to set off the light you should check your brake pad thickness, it may be time for new brakes.
The red BRAKE indicator light on the dash cluster has nothing to do with your normal braking system----it's for the parking brake. Check to ensure your parking brake handle is all the way down. The switch is located under the center console....might be shorting out if the lamp is still on while the parking brake is fully released.
You can pull the top section of the console off and check to see if you can trip the switch to make the light go off and begin your troubleshooting from there. The switch might be bad, it might have moved enough to not be engaged with the lever all the way down, etc.

i got the same problem only it stays on all the time. so what does the switch look like? do you need tot ake uot the entire lower console or is there an easier way to trip it?
