Default power windows work intermintintly

ok i havent had the time to tear my door panel off yet but over the past few months my driver side power window started to work intermitently, now it doesnt work verry often, has anyone else had this problem? also my pass. side window is really really slow. any help would be wounderful, i have a couple days off this week to tinker with it so any suggestions would be great.

Yeah I had that exact same problem with my drivers side window. You window motor/regulator is out and needs replaced. Sounds like your passenger window is getting ready to do the same thing. It is a common problem on these cars.

spend the $50 bucks and replace them. Replacing window motors on these cars is like a general maintenance item; every 3000 miles I change the oil and the window motors...

they are a PITA to replace
most shops charge like 50 to do the install sometimes its worth it

Pick up a couple motors locally with a lifetime warranty and do it yourself. After you do one side, the other is a piece of cake.

Yea its a pain if you have big arms and hands especially, because you have to have them all twisted, if you are going to do it, invest in one of those telescoping mirror tools. Saved my butt plenty o' times.
Oh yea what I did to make future installs easier was drilled hole to get to the bolt locations easier, now I dont have to twist my arms off anymore.

both mine are doing the same.... i was told the motor and regulator are one piece and local shops want 3hrs shop labor ($80-$100) to do it

i just priced the motors over at advanced and they are $55 eac with a full lifetime waranty so I'm going to pick them up this weekend, my arms are pretty skinny and i have the little swivel mirror and the little magnet incase i need them, thanks about the tip about drilling the hole, i'll have to do that. i just looked at the setup from autotrix, i'll have to order that and test it out thanks again guys
