Where to send oil to be analyzed?

Where to send oil to be analyzed? I tried to seach but had no luck. I want to have my oil checked out and make sure its getting the job done. I have been thinking about switching weights but want to know if I even have reason to do so.
If I have it analyzed, what information on there could tell me if its good or bad (if it will beable to do that at all)?
I run GC 0-30 now but have been thinking of a 5-40 oil, but if there is no good reason to switch I dont want to.

If you go to the Blackstone site you can request a free testing kit. It will come in about 2 weeks. Follow the instructions and send it off to them with a check for 20 bucks and they will email you the results the day after they recieve your sample. You'll get something like this....I had the TBN test done to which will tell you how much longer you can go on your oil.

One of these days I'd like to send a sample off to Blackstone. My concern is, since I drive the car so seldom I never put more than about 500-1000 miles on the oil before a change (that takes 6-8 months). Wonder if they can tell anything useful from oil that new?

probably not much. I got an oil analysis done at AAA when they did my pre-purchase inspection; the oil was pretty new and they said if you really want to know what's up I should come back after a few k miles on the oil. it was interesting but couldn't tell any marginal issues going on, only if there was something horribly wrong.
