I've always used only the K&N - for the reasons already mentioned...

I use amsoil's ea series filter in both of my vehicles. I run the 1 year 25 k 15/40 amsoil diesel oil in it never have had any issues and have been using them for the last ten years.

I Have already posted on this but I have made a change today. The parts store happened to be out of ACdelco filters so I switched to K&N. I normally would never switch from something that works but after reading about all of you guys using the K&N I decided to give it a try.

For my 1st LS1 oil change I used a stock Replacement AC Delco filter, but next time around I am getting a Napa Gold Truck filter, the ones for the 6 Liter trucks, Longer and more room. Decently priced.

Bottom line they are all good and none will damage an engine in three to five thousand miles. Some may be a hair better but they all work fine.

Since I have OWNED the car I have used:
2: BOSCH
6: K&N
1: Fram

Fram FTL I know but I made a mistake. . lol. K&N is beautiful but paying 12 bucls an oil filter. . i wonder if its worth 3x what Bosch charges. . .

I wonder how long it'll take for other oil filter makers to put that little nut on.

Should even the feild a bit.

I'm not to sure what's on the Rolla right now. But it's probably a Purolator, it seems that the service station had a bit of that stuff stocked.

I will be doing the next oil change myself, so I'll probably put in something that others have said worked fine for the little 4banger and aren't too pricey.

does running that larger filter and more oil give you higher oil pressure?
