Default Fuel Filter location on a 99 TA

Trying to help my girl out and save some money... where is the fuel filter located on a 99TA so i can replace it for under $10 versus paying Almost $30 to have it installed by someone else.

Thanks

Driver's side of the car. Get on the ground between the back of the door and the front of the tire. Look up where the frame rail is. Fliter will be right there, in the fuel line.

16mm and 20mm wrenches are needed to change out the filter.

its a very easy prosess to change out that filter, just need a little muscle to get it out.... from my own experience. located driver side door and fwd of left rear tire.... youll see the metal fuel line and just follow it till you come to the metal bulge... that would be yout fuel filter. go with the napa gold filter its like 7-8 bucks, i personally havent had any problems with it....

and its good to change them every 10,000-15,000 miles

Should be 16mm and 20mm.....otherwise, I beleive the equivalent standard sizes are 5/8" and 13/16". Gotta be one of those.

You can just swap it....however be aware that you will spray some gas once you open up either end of the filter but don't be alarmed..it's normal. Just don't lie on your back looking straight up to it because gas doesn't taste good. HaHa
