Need everybodies help on this one I have to reset my needle tommorow, cuz i messed it up puttin in a gauge overlay. Can you guys tell me what your cars idle at when it is in park and at usual running temp? Any help would much appreciated.
what yr is your car?? if im not mistaken i think the 99's or 98's have a more accurate reading....i haven an 01 and mine idles at about 550-600, and my operating temp is just below the 210 mark. im assuming your car is stock right??

550-600 on the tach sounds like the in gear idle with foot on the brake - mine read 525-585 on a scanner. In gear idle/Park-Neutral idle are different. Don't know if there's a difference between years though?

im not resettin it the right way. which would be with a laptop and special program. i know the needle in the tach is wrong, so im gonna let the car run at normal temp at idle and then take out the needle and put it back where i believe it should be in the general area.
