Driverside Window Not Raising Up???
My driverside window is not raising up. It did this to me a lil earlier in the day, but i got it to work and go back up. I just tried to roll my window's all the down and when i tried raising em back up. My driverside window didnt go up agian.
I know that it did make like a hard knocking noise everytime i would roll the window down. So what could be the problem????

Just for the sake of repetition (and my first post here lol) I'll say window motor. My camaro's driver's window won't go up by itself, needs help to go up a couple inches then a good 10 second breather before going up another few inches. Just leaving it up until I get the new motor put in, but sucks to have the window up and the T-tops off

Someone recommended to me a while after I had mine replaced:
Try smacking the door real hard with your hand (mostly in the area where the motor/regulator is) while trying to raise it with the switch. Sometimes the jolt will "remove" the resistance the motor may be getting from a lack of grease/lubricant along the track/gears. If that is the case, douse the gears in WD-40 or some sort of grease.

FWIW, I had the same problem and it was the motor. Last weekend I replaced it using Shoebox's images and instructions. I had never done anything more than an oil change and was somewhat intimidated by having to take the door apart and drilling out rivets. I didn't even know that the motor is behind the interior panel. I thought that the motor would be visible by just taking off the exterior door panel. I just printed out Shoebox's images in sequence and went throught them one by one. It took me about three hours but the instalation went like a charm. I got two quotes from shops and they both wanted over $300.00 with the motor. I ordered my own motor (Siemens) and saved myself at least $200.00 Thanks again Shoebox!
