Can i use just one hood strut?
would it hurt anything if i just used one hood strut since i have a aftermarkey hood and the stock springs launch the hood up hard. i was looking at a 08 grand prix yesterday and they only have one hood strut for there hoods.
do i have to worry bout the hood warping from one strut?

Zen: What is the sound of one hand clapping?
If the hood is good and rigid maybe you can get away
with it. If it seems floppy then I wouldn't. Good, and
rigid, neither one describe the aftermarket hood I've
got on the El Camino.
You might be able to find weaker ones like from some
more compact car with a shorter lighter hood? Or, just
hold onto it and ease it open.

yeah I was putting a hood on my car and ended up breaking one of the struts, rolled around with one for a bit until i got new ones, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DOING IT hood will move no matter how rigid it is
