Default Headlight prob on 98 z28...

Ok guys whenever my car is turned off i can use the **** to turn the lights on and they come on like they're supposed to. But when i have the car running the lights automatically come on and i cant turn the damn things off. Whats up with this?? Is it normal.

Thanks in advance

Is it dark out when you did that? The camaro automatically turns its headlights on when it is dark out. They shouldn't do it during the day though.

It caught me by surprise when I first drove my camaro at night. Now it has made me even lazier, I don't turn my lights on myself anymore

Hey no problem I was (and still am) a noob with these things too.

There is a mod you can do to disable the auto headlights if you want. Plus a few other things like leaving the fogs on when the brights are on, leaving the low beams on when the brights are on as well, etc...

Well i was trying to figure out what all the buttons do and i didn't see a button like this one on my TA. Is this supposed to turn on the foglights? Bc when i flipped it on it didn't do anything so just wanting to make sure that i am in fact right?

Yes that is the foglight switch. When you flipped it did the indicator on it glow?

ASR... what is that? I have a SGS switch there instead (second gear start, supposedly helps with traction in slippery conditions but I haven't had it through a winter yet)

No i dont think a light came on..

ASR is just traction control.. It stands for something but i dont feel like searching for it. I know my way all around the motor on these things but the camaro is just a lil different then my TA.

Turn your headlights on, then turn it on. Maybe headlights have to be on first? I'm not sure, I haven't messed with mine much. With my crunched up driver side the foglight mount is shoved inwards so the foglight just lights up the inside of the bumper lol. Pretty pointless so I just leave them off for now.

If that isn't it, check the fuse.

Headlights have to be on for it. Not high beams though.
