mobil 1 0w 40???

Default mobil 1 0w 40???

Hey guys, 01 SS with 63k miles. i normally ran 10w 40 mobil 1 synthetic but noone carries it for the past couple months. I have been runnin 10 w 30 instead. can I run the mobil 1 0 w 40 synthetic in my ls1? talked to a few ppl and this is what there running/recommending for the new vettes.

I have heard a few people using this bc they couldn't find GC 0W-30

I run that oil and i have for a while. I have no complaints.

DOH. all that i can find around here is 0w20 mobil1 sythetic. should i go with 0w20 or find the 0w40? who carries 0w40?

I'd run the 040 before the 1040. 0W20? No way.

M1 0-20 is pretty thin stuff- unless you drive in nothern winter temps I wouldn't use it.
Go to AutoZone and get some Castrol Syntec (German Catrol) 0-30
Don't want to start another M1 vs GC war, but it is a pretty good oil with proven oil anaylsis results

I've seen M1 0w-40 at the local AutoZones. I'd recommend the M1 5w-40 Turbo Diesel. It used to be sold as Truck & SUV. It's reputed to be Delvac 1, a well respected HD oil. It's also available at AZ and I've also seen plenty of it at wallyworld, quarts and gallon jugs. I run the GC cause local now AZs carry it, but I used to run the T&SUV b4 they did.
