Default 76,000 miles

What coolant do you guys use? I got my car with 17k miles and it now has 76k, but I NEVER changed my coolant. What else should I change? Fuel filter?

I'm guessing you want to flush the coolant, you probably use the orange stuff. Fuel filter for sure, rear end fluid, tranny fluid.

Drop the tranny pan and change the filter, then refill through the dipstick. If you haven't been maintaining the trans., now is the time to start. I drop the pan every 6k or so.

The fuel filter is way overdue. It's not hard. Once you learn you should do it each year. Probably time for plugs and wires. That can be a bitch the first time but is easy the second time. I'd change the serpintine belt. Rear end fluid and tranny fluid if manual. If auto, I'd have someone else do it. But it still should be done after 50k. Radiator flush and refill with Dex. There are many opinions about Dex. Read up and decide on your own. That's about all the regular service needed. Might Seafoam also.

I have new plugs and wires. I also seafoamed my car about 10,000 miles ago. What is a "motor flush"? I'll be doing my coolant, fuel filter, & the tranny fluid (think I might have a shop do this).

I switched to green. After Dexcool destroyed my water pump within 30,000 miles, I decided never again. The stuff is trash.

Well...I don't think it really has a name. It's just standard coolant - ethylene glycol. The weird coolants are the ones with special names - like Dexcool - so I guess the green coolant is just normal coolant
