Car barely heats up In the cold weather, temps of like 30 and less, my car does not warm up past a quarter of the way on the temp guage, and im talking like driving for a good half an hour, stop and go. The heat gets semi warm but I don't get how some cars heat up real quick in the winter cold, but mine wont go more than a quarter of the way on the temp gauge. 2000 trans am ws6 btw.

yeah i would think the temp guage was shitty too if it didnt go to the normal range when its actually not really cold out, and by the fact the heat doesnt blow hot, which would prove to me that the car isn't heating up.

If you don't think it's getting hot enough, hook it up to a scanner, or get one of those scan gauges - that will give you the real story on what the temperature is. If it's not quite right - maybe someone put a 160 thermo in it before you got the car, or perhaps the thermostat is stuck open.
