lifter noise Is it normal for the ls1 based engines to have a rhythmic "TICK" at idle. I know it is a lifter, but What I don't know is......Are the ls1 engines noisy at idle..

lol. my camaro and trans am had it.
its normal, some days it wont be there, some days its a little noisier and you get a little paranoid.
the first time it was pretty loud in the camaro i freaked out and took it to the dealership.(17 and dumb) 140 later they told me it was fixed. only to come back the next tuesday.
asked my buddy he was like 'dude..your a moron'

I took mine to the dealership as well to get it checked not long after i got the car, just to find out it was normal. You get use to it after a while and dont pay it any attention.
