Default Radiator Damage

Can it be buffed out? =\

Long story short, I punctured it while installing my transmission cooler. I tried to drill out at the bottom of the fan shroud to get at the zip tie easier and went too far in. Deee dee deeee.

Wondering if there's any way to repair that. I know I've seen kits and such, but whether or not any of it works... I figured maybe someone knew.

Thanks.

Yes. As soon as I hit it water came out.

On the bright side, this tranny cooler install just got a lot easier.

if you have to be cheap right now, then this is what i would do as a fix, i would cut the ends of that punctured tube from the ends where it connects to the plastic tank and seal the plastic tank with JB weld! th is is your safest bet, but i do not recommend it! but its an option!

Ok. Thanks ae13291.

What's the LT1 radiator? I'm guessing the 93-97 had a better one?

I see it has a thicker core, nice.

Would the LT1 require modifications for it to fit?

a radaitor shop will prolly do that hole for 60$ just because how easy it will be to weld it
we had a classic 82 nissan diesel pickup and it was 120 to fix two holes way harder to get to just to let you know

25$ out the door with some welding work. We'll see if it holds up. *knocks on wood*

Now to get it all back together :\

Thanks all for the information and suggestions.

for the LT1 radiator its the 93-96 the 97 is a little smaller. the only modification is you have to find a way to plug the coolent level sensor! i think after 2000 they stopped putting those sensors on! but yea $25 would be a good cheap fix! i remember getting a LT1 radiator price quote for $165
