Yellow gunk under oil cap
I went to add half a quart of oil today and noticed yellow stuff under the cap and in the piece the cap screws in to. What is the deal here? never noticed this before

Check your PCV system. If it is cut or clogged it wont suck the nasty crankcase gases back into the motor to be burned and the gases will instead build up and stick in places such as the oil cap. I had it happen to me and it was that my PCV line was cut in half from wear. Repklaced the line and all is good again, no nasty buildup.
