Default how to replace tensioner pulley

How do you replace the main tensioner pulley (on the top passenger side)?
I assume you just undo the bolt in the middle, but I tried as hard as I could, but the bolt wouldn't budge. Am I just weak?

I just replaced mine, are you sure you're turning it the right way? You can always try a longer wrench it shouldn't be that hard if it is try the other direction.

I replaced one but it wasn't just the pulley, it came as the whole assembly. Held on by two bolts if I remember correctly. Maybe yours is like that and that bolt isn't supposed to move?

Alright, I got.
After borrowing a neighbor's longer wrench and giving it a healthy dose of WD-40, it finally gave.
Thanks.

I thought about re-greasing it, but I didn't have any grease on-hand, and a new pulley was only like $11 at autozone. I figured $11 wasn't going to break the bank. If this new pulley also starts to act up soon, then I'll probably look into re-greasing it.

You would probably be well advised to grease the new one, it probably didn't come with enough from the factory which will lead to premature failure. That's why the originals crap out.

I actually bought an aftermarket aluminum pulley with higher sides to hold belt better and dress nose cap when my stocker went.

The version I bought has a removeable bearing feature, so if bearing ever goes bad again - all you have to do is replace the bearing itself.
