make sure you don't inhale the dust when you are drilling, supposed to be toxic.

Have you ever thought how much faster your car would be with crank windows?

I actually wanted crank windows and manual locks. I don't think that was an Option on the SS. I was looking at astripper Z with T-tops when I bought my car. The Z even had a tape deck instead of a CD.

Man I wonder if it would be worth it to find a 4th gen at a junkyard with manual locks/windows and just putting those doors on. Save the weight and the hassle of fixing the motor every time it breaks. It would probably be a hell of a time putting new doors on though.

I bought both of mine aftermarket from a company on ebay over 2 years ago at $29.99 each + $18 for shipping and did the replacement myself. It took me about 2-3 hours without encountering any problems except removing/installing the the damn door panels. They still work great to this day and probably will for a long time to come.

didnt modify anything. pull the door panel out, drill the rivets out, pull window motor out, put new motor in and line up with regulator, use supplied bolts and nuts to affix to door where rivets were. i kinda lost my patience when lining up the motor with the regulartor, but thats because it was starting to rain when i was doing that

Buy a lifetime window motor and do it yourself.

Advice: Keep the receipt since my lifetime motor did not last a lifetime!
