If you don't check the adjustments and make sure they are tight YOU COULD LOSE A T-TOP ONE DAY.

If you check the adjustments every 3-4 months to make sure they are tight, YOU WILL NEVER LOSE A T-TOP FROM LOOSE ADJUSTMENTS. You will only lose one if you forget to latch it.

Your choice. Just take a philips screw driver to all of the screws and make sure they are tight. If you find any of them loose make sure the latch bolts and the mounting holes are properly lined up, then tighten them.

5 minutes of your time.

I had one blow off at 80 mph. It landed almost 1/4 mile behind me and did $1,800 in damage to the S10 blazer that it landed on. The driver of the blazer said "I thought it was a floor mat that blew out". Ok? So, you decided you should just let it land on your hood? Anyway, I decided that I'd started to take mine out, changed my mind and got in the car. I'm sure it had to have been unlatched. I had the windows up and just as I cleared 80 mph, it lifted off and blew away.

Kind of sounds like an act of God how it landed.

It was quite sad to see. Now the question is - I know it was secured and latched in, but not locked, but how the hell did it come loose? I was doing no more than 40 at the time. If anyone has a passenger charcoal ttop for sale let me know.
did you take out the lock cylinder
