Name This Weeks Problem!! Just had a Racetronix fuel pump installed 2 weeks ago. Was driving home tonight and it suddenly lost power and died while on the highway. Guages all went down and the "check guages" light came on. Tried to start it again and it turns over fine but wont start. Let it sit for a bit and it will start and die immediately. I took the cap off the fuel rail and pushed in the schrader valve and no fuel came out at all, even with my fiance cranking. Fuel pump again or what? Was told it could be a sensor...
There's quite a bit of wiring that goes along with the Racetronix. First order of business would be to make sure everything is grounded, has power, fuses are good. If that checks out, then move on to checking the rest of the fuel system.

Had a shop do the install. Even got the wiring kit and battery cable upgrade. Switched the fuel pump relay with the a/c one and still did nothing. Had it towed to the shop again. Guess this will put my headers back even further dammit.

Haha. Called ThunderRacing to see if they have any pumps in just in case I need one. The guy said these pumps very rarely fail, it usually something stupid like the relay put in a spot that gets wet. I did have to drive through a bad storm probably 15 minutes before this happened. We'll see.

Just talked to the shop. Apparently the hose for the pump that comes in the kit, ruptured inside the tank. They said they put a new hose on it for fuel injection and should have it fixed in about an hour. Im glad it wasnt the pump, but to pay to have the tank dropped again for a damn hose sucks!!
