Hose Question

What is this line that is connected to the front of the intake manifold?

The rubber one that connects to the TB is the PCV hose.
The metal one? It's a coolant line. Kinda hard to tell where your arrow points.

Sorry about the arrow but yes it is the PCV hose i was trying to point at. Thanks for the added details! its been alot of help! well the reason im asking about that hose is because there seems to be an oily substance surrounding it now as if it had been leaking something. Does this make sense? is there fluid going through that line? the oil substance im talking about doesnt show in the pic because its an old pic i happen to have.

search up on "catch can mod" that will explain why there is oil in that line, to give you a brief. the oil has small amout of blow by that the oil passes the rings and gets turned to mist, what that hose dose is relief crank case pressures (or else you'd blow the bottom end of the engine out with to much pressure, like a balloon) anyways it hooks up to the intake to recurculate the fumes into the engine again to be burnt off. what the catch can dose is prevent it from going into the engine again. anyways read up more on it as i'm tired of typing already.
