Default air/fuel problem after i hit a puddle

If I run my car through a car wash or hit a puddle. The car bogs down, starts puttering and back firing and runs like crap for about 3-4 min. i know its not the intake because i turn the car off in the car wash. The filter is dry. It starts doing it as soon as I start it back up. It seems like it is happening when I hit puddles on the driver side. I'm hoping someone has had this problem and can explain how to fix it!
Thanks!!

Sounds to me like there's water in your O2 connector. The same thing used to happen to me after it would rain & had me confused as well. Long story short, I thought I might have bad O2's and when I unpluged the connector, water poured out. So after I dried it out, I put some dielectric grease in the connector and taped it up. No problems since. Hope this helps.

I would have to agree that it sounds like water in your O2 harness. If it turns out that it is wet, make sure you get it dried out very well and use dielectric grease (as stated above) and/or try wrapping it with something to keep moister/water out.

My problem was the firewall gromet under the PCM wasn't seated correctly at the factory. It allowed water droplets to hit the BCM - caused some real havoc before I figured it out.

Driver side O2 extension resting on the header. Melted. Interface was exposed to the elements. Wrapped in heat reflective tape and zip tied away from header is temporary fix until I get some new O2 extensions. I'm fairly positive that my problems will be solved.

Thanks eleventy billion for the advice you guys.
