Most people notice a bit more engine noise due to the FAST not having foam under the manifold to deaden the sound and it mounts pretty close to the valley bolts as im sure you noticed when you swapped the bolts.

yea i noticed that but also i didnt have any foam under my LS6 intake because i had the ls1 style coolant line so i had to grind grid off the bottom of it. only thing i can really think of is bigger plenum and thinner construction of the manifold

i told you that you wouldnt be disappointed in it! i absolutely was shocked when i got mine put on.. you should pick up probably another 10rwhp after the tune..

great choice on the cam! again, i promise you wont be disappointed! haha...
you cant get a 110 unless you order it that way... i would go with a 111 anyways..
sorry, what are your other mods... stall, gears, heads..

another 10hp would be awesome!!

well from the cam cards ive seen i think its a 111+1 and i dont know if i should install it straight up "dot to dot" or advance it or retard it

other mods right now are 4.10s, 3800 stall, LT's, 228R cam!! As soon as i get the coin im going to get some TFS "cnc'd version" 215's and YT Ultralites along with the MS4. I'll have the cam in a few weeks

I noticed more noise too. My engine was quieter than most cammed LS1's I've heard with the LS6 intake. Very little valvetrain noise. FAST claims stronger materials than OEM, but anyone who has compared the two know that the GM intake is much more substantial.

just because you hear more noise does not mean that it is weaker... the FAST intakes are substantially stronger than an ls1 or ls6..

i think the harder material and bigger plenum volumn is what contributes to the noise, also being closer to the valley.

Man i have a Nitro Daves kit but its supposed to be sold to a guy, he hasnt been on here in a few days and weve been dealing back and forth for like 3 weeks now so im not sure if im going to tell him im going to just keep it or what

I don't believe that for a second. It may be harder, but not stronger. The FAST intake looks and feels brittle. The fact that more noise is heard backs that assessment as "softer" materials insulate sound much better than hard and brittle material.
