Thinking about making my own TDs.
Thinking about making my own TDs. I want to make my own, not take it to a shop. Im thinking about getting the Jegs street rod exhaust kit, an X pipe and some sweet thunders and welding it up myself. Has anyone else used this kit or something similar?
Ok. Im also thinking about Magnaflows instead of sweet thunders. Right now i have LTs/ORY/TSP rumbler and its raspy as hell, which is why im doing this, but i like how loud it is. So i dont really want it to be too much louder or quieter than it is, just better tone and less rasp.

the only problem i saw with goin with anything other than my bullets was ground clearance. u lose a ton with most mufflers and where you can actually put them is another problem. my dynomax bullets sound great and are not NEAR as loud as people made them out to be.

I beat the bottom of the rear seats in a little on mine for a little more clearance. I went with the magnaflow mufflers and couldn't be happier. Pacesetter longtubes, H-pipe, magnaflows turned down before the axle. It's still loud, but it has a solid tone when you rev it.
I have been looking for a shop to fab something for me so I can ditch the crappy Y-pipe. 
Solution: Take it to the shop on a trailer, take off your plates, and cover up the registration and inspection, tell them its a "drag car" and you should have no problems with them touching your car... Ive used this method before.
