Nice write-up. Mine was the old fashioned one from 2000 or so where you tap into the fuse box on the driver's side, no led's and a flip switch under the steering wheel.

10 ft should be plenty but you can never have enough wire as you will use it more in the future. as for the gauge i think it was either 20 or 22 gauge.

not a stupid question at all. First of all you have to tape into the 2 wires on the fender like i showed you the blue and green wires here is a pic of the 2 wires taped. Then you run them 2 wires into the inside of the car and up under the center counsel.

Now you take the leds you bought and connect the to ends with the resistor the (anode side) together and wire them into a positive 12v sourse i just wired them into the cig. lighter.

Next take one led and take the other side of the led and connect it to the blue wire you ran into your car and connect that to one of the middle prongs on the switch. Then do the same with the other led and green wire and connect it to the other middle prong on the switch.

Last you have your ground wires. One the green wire side of the switch you ground both prongs and on the blue wire side of the switch you ground just one prong. I connected all the grounding wires together and then connected them to the ground wire off the cig. lighter.

I haven't ordered anything yet bc i wont be doing anything till winter is over anyways so ill just wait till then.

Yep that is what i was thinking. That he is not coming out with the ashtray.

I have my e-cutout wires ran already. I had a DMH back in 2005. Then got rid of it. And i kept all the wiring. I still have my switch in the ash tray. So i bought another DMH e-cutout that needs to be put in, in summer time.

But for the cubby hole plate, i will be adding e-cutout, fans, line lock (still need to buy)

I just bought a kill swithc too.

For the cubby hole plate, you going with the lighter provision (so you can still use your lighter) or w/o the lighter provisions?

sorry for the

yes 6 prongs (double-pole, double-throw)

If you already have a 3 prong one you can still wire it up just both fans wont run on high just one. I think. Here is how you could wire it with a 3 prong switch.

Where did you get yor wiring from? I can prolly go to Home Depot and get 20 ga from there. I would get green and blue.

Also if the switch has 6 prongs on the back, how do you wire it up?

correct me if i am wrong.

2 wires coming eninge bay (wires that are being taped into)
2 wires from Red LED
2 wired from Green LED

What order you put the wires on the back of the switch? Got a pic>
