I don't think stock fuel rails will work, but I don't see why you couldn't use what ever fuel aftermarket rails you currently have, you might need to change the cross over though.

From the pics you can see its a 3 or 4 bolt! TB You can se that they have a 3 bolt TB on it and you can see the hol for a 4 bolt TB

Cool. Now, do I actually need this since I have stock rods and rod bolts, and a 226°/230° cam..........................

Probably not.

I was planning on getting an ls6 intake and selling my ls1 but I wonder how friendly this would be with the stock setup.

I contacted Edelbrock today. Their new intake will NOT fit under the hood of the 04-06 GTO and most other cars with factory hoods

should replace this 6.0 intake just fine.
Might be just what I needed or just get a vic jr since the whole race is topend with a 5300 stall.

Will get base runs next sunday if I get the headers built intime.

Do some more research 1st! you will see that if you run that intake with the elbow with hurt the performance and its best if you ad a 2000cfb TB on top of it and you will gain a good 20-30whp. I was going to do the vic with elbow until i saw how much the elbow was choking down the motors

it will unless you have a cam specd for it. With the proper valve events it would perform well I think.

I think it will work well with my cam. I really don't care about any HP gain. I am very happy where I am at right now. Doing it for the looks . It looks wicked under the hood

Everyone thinks that becuause a car with a roots blower loses 50 hp from heatsoak that anything with an alum intake is gonna have the same problem. You will have some heat soak, to the point that a degree of timing, probably ONE degree will have to be pulled due to the intake charge being a touch higher, whoopie.

I do wonder why something like that hasn't been made from fiber reinforced delrin, a simple mold with a machining finish process could be done that would result in the same thing that wouldn't have the issues, and the cost would be a ton less... why noone has gone down that path I don't know.
Do they not make a heat dissapating coating for intakes? I used to have a JGC SRT8 and Power ported performance was porting the intakes and applying a coating to minimize heat soak...specifically this is what the ad says, "he feature a heat dispersant coating on the outside surface to help wick away heat and a heat repellant coating on the bottom to help keep heat soak out". If this really works, it would help to minimize any concerns of heat soak on this intake...it looks like an interesting option for the ulgy TBSS intake.

I still need an intake but 300$ for an ls6 is a little much, hopefully this intake performs/fits and costs as much as people are saying (cheap)

looking at these pics of the intake it will not fit it under the cowl of a f-body or fit it under a GTO or Vette hood it just might fit under a truck hood.
