^ Exactly.. 243's are 243's.. Doesn't matter what vehicle they came off they're all the same and will fit any LS1/2/6, block with the 4 bolt design for the cylinders. The only blocks that had a 6 bolt head design is the LsX block (IIRC.) They came stock on the LS2's because it was prolly a cheaper design and it worked. They already had the casting for those heads, so they ran with it. They're a 3.905 bore head, but still work on a 4.0" bore LS2. You can go smaller, you just can't put a 4" bore head on a smaller bore block (For instance.)

You looking for a budget build? I got my P+P'd 243's off an 04 ZO6 for $600 new and assembled, but with stock springs.
Yea I'm just looking for 243s, have you installed them on your car??

I have a set on my car right now. replaced my 241's with 243's like 6 months ago. No issues at all.

Yeah.. I still have 243's on there that replaced my 853's. Been running them for years. my old heads are just laying around.
243's are just LS6 heads. LS6 has the same displacement as the LS1, just a different block design and a couple other small details are different.

my 2 cents is get aftermarket heads unless u can see the heads in person. i got 243's for my ls1, paid $500 but, the heads werent perfectly flat so then paid another $500. hind sight i would've just got some aftermarket for a couple hundred extra.

I have a set of complete 243 heads off my 05 LS2 Engine. Upgraded so don't need them anymore. Any takers let me know.
