Default LPP performance part headers? anyone running them???

LPP Performance parts headers? saw they are running a specal?

Our LS1 headers are made out of 321 Polished Stainless Steel. The highest quality stainless you can make exhaust parts out of. They feature an over sized flange for better gasket sealing. They are 1 3/4" primaries with a 3" High Velocity Merge Collector with an internal merge spike. Our Y pipe is also 3" with a siamese merge. We have also include an exhaust mount on the drivers side of the Y to stop that Y pipe banging the floor

LS1 Headers
$500.00

LS1 Y-pipe
$225.00

LS1 headers and Y
$650.00 On Sale! $600.00

Seem like a great deal just wondering how they fit, and if anyone is running them??? Thank you

I have them and like them, the fit is awesome no cutting or anything like that just had to jack the car up super high but that isn't anything out of the ordinary. The Y-pipe is alright some people haven't had any problems with it, I have had some leaks but that to isn't to uncommon. Its the best bang for the buck out there that is for sure... and if you search for LPP on here there have been alot of posts about it.

The headers themself are great. My car sounds absolutely amazing (even with a moderate leak, and definitely pulls harder) The headers also went in very easily, not fitiment issue whatsoever. The only downside to the setup is the y-pipe is horrible. I've have nothing but problems with it. This not only goes for me but for many others. I would say pick up some others ones if possible.

would a different Y-pipe bolt up to the LPP's? I am actually thinking about welding mine if i can't get the leak under control this weekend.

Sounds perfect, then if the clutch or tranny goes or some other maintenance has to be performed that requires removal of the exhaust you can break out the saws-all and cut it apart to remove it.

Utterly an ingenious idea!

thanks for the smart *** reply I never thought of that I don't plan on doing anything else to my car it only has 14,000 miles on it right now. I am willing to take the chance so in my case it would be utterly ingenious.

Ahh I see your an Air Force guy, that explains alot...
Yep yer right, yer tranny will certainly never go bad, nor will you ever need to perform any other maintenance on your car in the general area that will require the exhaust to be removed... just like aircraft maintenance isn't it? Nothing will go wrong.

I now see yer point-go for it!

What does me being in the Air Force have anything to do with this? I drive my car maybe 10 miles a week now that i have a daily driver, unlike a jet that gets the crap beat out of it all week. Now that its winter i'm going to fix this leak and put a cover on my car till spring. If you didn't know my car doesn't pull 4-9 G's on a daily basis, and its not 20 plus years old like the jets I work on. So rolling the dice in this case (if i even end up doing it) would be an exceptable risk. If something goes wrong in a couple years down the road I have a custom Y-pipe made for it. Thanks for seeing my point

They are a nice header one of the easier installs ive done. The y-pipe did leak but i replaced the band clamps they give with the headers with ones from carquest and have no leaks that I can find. I've installed most headers offered for ls1 f-bodys and these were the easiest install.
