Can tell you that from my measurements, the LS6 is a velocity based intake. The aluminum Weiand was more of a volume based intake than was the LS6. This explained (to me anyway) how the LS6 out performs the Weaind aluminum on an NA engine. So, it's my opinion that a forced induction set-up would benefit more from an aluminum Weiand than an LS6. Further, it is much easier to open the inlet & to smooth the inlet side of the runners on the aluminum intake. If I had a stock cubed, low compression ratio, forced induction engine, the aluminum Weiand would be my intake of choice. Naturally asperated, the LS6 intake is & allways will be king on stock cubes up to 6,300 RPM, despite the hokey numbers Holley is marketing for the "Street Warrior."

I'm going to wait to see a true test between an LS6 intake and the Warrior on a bolt-on car before passing judgement. Then we'll see if Holley is blowing smoke up our asses or if all this negative feedback on the Warrior is the internet blowing smoke up theirs...

I am beginning to get pessimistic of the Street Warrior myself. I really, really want it to be what Starr is claiming on the SEMA 2007 Youtube Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DL1RQUVEcWo) but watching it get delayed again and again (https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...rior-sema.html) makes me think that it's not really going to do what it is claimed to do and thats because we can all get on summit, etc. and buy this thing today and not actually get it makes me think they want to sell a **** ton of them based on speculation.

I am a very positive thinking person but I've been watching that thread for way too long and I've lost faith as many others have. I've seen so many other guys just pull the trigger on a FAST intake or the tried and true LS6 and be happy with it.

Face it, one intake between your cylinder heads is better than two being talked about on here (Weiand & Edelbrock).

Don't judge me, I'm drunk......

Rumor has it that the Weiand intake has been hanging out with a special groundhog. Apparently the intake came out of hiding, saw its shadow, and now its going to be another 6 weeks.

Chances are, the intake that was shown and dyno tested was a "one-off" custom peice and that they weren't able to reproduce the numbers after going into production.

Check back on Summits page in a few days and you'll see that the 01/28/09 date will get pushed back to sometime in February.

be glad they are delaying something rather than releasing it with a flaw. if you spent that much money and it wasnt what it said it was, you would be upset. anticipation just like the ketchup comercial from the 70's.
