I just went through this with a buddys car last week. We first installed the duals with the rearend freely hanging which resulted in the torque arm being to low. All we did was jack up on the middle of the rearend and that gave us at least 3" more.

This is gonna happen when you buy an off the shelf true dual system. The underbody of these cars werent made for a dual setup, which is why, for best clearance, people usually have an exhaust shop fabricate a setup. It usually isnt that much more expensive, if at all, and it will maximize your clearance. Good luck buddy

undo your hangers, jack the TD's up from the merge until they are hitting/almost to the floor and then tighten hangers, i know it sounds retarded but it works wonders

Not hardly the case. When installed right they fit excellent.

Using a floor jack and block of wood works wonders. I gained a bunch of clearance on my exhaust by doing this and tightening up the clamps.

X2................. worked for me. Also the X merge only goes on one way. It doesnt look like thats the case, but it makes a big difference. On mine, it gave me like two inches extra. You might try flipping it over. GL

Just what I figured. You have them upside down.

Take the rear pipes out of the x, flip it over and reinstall it. Keep all clamps loose until you have it all tucked as high as possible then tighten it all down.

If you notice the pipes coming out of your x have an angle to them. The angle is to position the rear section up to make up for the larger diameter of the mufflers.
