Default JAAM Ram Air Worth a Tenth?

I would consider going with this mod if someone could tell me if it's worth a tenth over just a lid with the free air (cut out lower air box) mod..Thanks

I can't say anything about the JAAM (other than the plate looks cool), but the BG Ram Air mod is worth more than that on my car. It dropped 2 tenths and added about 3 mph to the trap in the 1/4. I went 12.9@110 with nothing but a lid and the BG setup on factory radials. Definitely worth it.

Yea I got one last year...Only one around (that looks like it could be factory) cause they dont make the BG Ram Air kit anymore... I think the BG kit looked nicer but the Jamms kit looks good too and does a OK job. I installed the Jamms and a lid and picked up .3th's at the track. Not bad I don't think. Which one of the two did the most ???? Can't say..........

I picked up the JAAM kit, but only the bottom plate. The other $100 goes towards 3 pieces of foam to seal the hood to the box. I bought a used BG gasket for like 20 then just added a little material between that and the hood to make it seal. Nice kit though with really good fitment.

Does the JAAM kit require you to cut or alter your factory pieces in any sort of way? I really dont want to start cutting up my 21K miles WS6. Is this just a plug and play thing?

Well you do have to drill out the rivets in the hood and break the baffles free. Other than that theres no cutting or anything. The bottom plate bolts in and so do the top foam pieces if you buy them. I just went with buying the bottom piece because I can make the seal, but there was no way I could make the bottom plate with that kind of quality.

That kinda sucks, well to me atleast. I dont wanna be drilling my car for an intake piece.

Is there anything else that is as effective that requires no drilling or cutting of the cars factory parts?

The only drilling it requires is the rivets in the hood, and that isnt really even noticable. With any system where youre trying to make the hood functional, youll have to snap the glue holding the baffles in the nostrils.

The BGRA is no longer made. We now sell the JAAM kits and they work just about the same. The JAAM kit does also include a nice lower deflector plate which makes the lower nostrils on the hood functional as well.

Most people see about 2 tenths with the kit but some people (like the guy that posted above) have seen even more.

No kit will make the WS6 hood functional without removing the factory baffles.

Right now the JAAM kits are on sale. It's a great time to pick up a kit if you want one!

You can order on our web site or calling us at 877-955-4896.
