Question I need a way to measure exhaust backpressure...

Long story short, my cats came apart a few months back and while I got a lot of junk out of the pipes after them, I'm afraid I've got a clog in the mufflers. The car still gets good mileage and runs well, I'm just starting to think I feel it running a little rougher.

Is there something I can put in the O2 bungs to check for even or excessive backpressure? Surely not something like a turbo boost gauge?

I'd appreciate any pointers...

an easy, and somewhat effective way would be to hook up a vaccum gauge to your intake manifold (or watch map values) and snap the throttle open. Your vaccum should reduce at first, but then return to normal quickely after the returns to idle.

You can pull the O2 sensor on one side, put in one
of those compression leakdown tester adaptors in
with a foot or so of metal line to shed the heat and
use a compression tester head gauge to look at it.
Maybe use a cheap compression tester plus some
hard line.
