Default Meziere Water Pump + ASP Pulley = drained battery?

With the ASP pulley underdriving the alternator and it not charging the battery as usual, and the Meziere pump drawing extra electricity to run, won't this end up with a dead battery, or at least a low charged one?

Ditto.. I have installed a few of the electric water pumps on cars with ASP pulleys with no issues.

The only possible issue would be at idle. When the rpms are up while driving, the altenator will be charging at full capacity.

and worst case you can get the overdrive pulley to stabalize the alternator...and they make a step up electrical piece to help out if you need it as well...

Jason, have you ever installed one on a car with ASP's and a lightweight battery? I have a 22lb odyssey on my car and pulleys, and wasn't sure if I could swing the water pump, pulley, and lightweight battery at the same time.

There should be no issues under normal driving and racing since the alt. is really what's running the pump, not the battery. What you wont be able to do is leave the pump on with the car off without some sort of charging device.
