TB bump stop mod question

Default TB bump stop mod question

ok not sure if this is the right place for this...but i checked teh TB tsp sensor with me pushing the pedal down all the way it read 45.3 and it could stil be pushed to about 46.2 question i assume this is enough opening but is there a way to take some slack outta the trhottle cable?

also i was wondering what should the voltage be for a TB closed at idle? i think mine was like .6?? any info on this so i can understand it better would help...

Mine was .6 closed. ANd I was able to get 4.68 wide open.

You want to be close to 4.7vdc, but don't go past that. You most definitely can remove the slack in your throttle cable. As a matter or fact, you'll have to after doing the TB Bump stop mod.

how do you take out the slack?? i've noticed the cable goes from that little black thing to the TB but i don't see any kind of adjustment screw or nothing....

Mine was .4 at idle, and 4.4 wide open (It's a 99 Z) so I had to grind mine some...

See that bulge or connector like thing in the middle of the cable? Pop the middle part off, now you can adjust it then snap the middle clip thing back on.

slack??? thought it was self adjusting...had no slack issues here...
just dont go past 4.7v DC...I took mine to 4.68v DC....close enough....4.71v DC and it will throw a code.....

Does anyone know how to do it with jsut a tester? I know there are wires you can plug into directly on the harness connected to the Tb, I'm just not sure which ones..

I did the bump stop mod with a volt meter. It worked like a charm.
