OK, I'll show my ignorance here...but what does the 1 chamber look like? I'm pretty sure I have the 80 series, but I am questioning it because it does sound good. That, and maybe it's just my imagination, but I thought I felt a little extra kick after it was installed. But the real question is, can a name brand muffler REALLY dog your RW numbers THAT much? I hear plenty of people say they flow like ****, but I just have a hard time believing that any aftermarket muffler that is designed for performance makes a huge difference over another. I would think pretty much everything before that beast would be way more important. I know...![Offtopic](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies3/offtopic.gif)

almost all brands of flowmaster sound good, just not all flow good..
depending on what flowmaster you went with.. you could have picked up a good little bit, but you also may have lost some..
YES! an aftermarket muffler can DESTROY your RWHP numbers.. i had a buddy that had a minor bolt on car with a Ypipe and a flowmaster or magnaflow muffler, i cant remember.. and on a BACK TO BACK dyno run he picked up 18rwhp with the cutout OPEN..
just because people say their muffler is a performance muffler, does not mean it is.. you got to think man, these companies are all in it for the $.. if it sounds good, it will sell.. and people think what you think..
if you cut off the top side of a 1 chamber FM.. and cut off the top of a regular flowmaster.. you will see the difference in why the 1 chamber is MUCH less restrictive..
now, on a side note.. if he had a 1 chamber.. the change would be minimal, as in virtually unnoticeable..
yes.. all he did was went from running through his flowmaster muffler... to opening the cutout... meaning the exhaust was "dumped" where the cutout was.. instead of running through the restrictive muffler..

I have kooks long tubes with their catted y pipe with borla exhaust and I couldn't be happier with how it sounds. It's very loud, but only when you stomp on it. Then again, I'm using the wide open plate, you can always go smaller. Very quiet and no droning inside when you're just cruising around.

Just need a cage and rear sway bar and for 09' I would like some 10's NA and in the fall some 9's with a 150-225 shot.
how about yourself

SLP dual dual, not raspy at all while cruising and sounds great. Quiet around town until you open it up.

Ok I don't want to jump of topic but its hard to decide whats loud to everyone. I have a stock manifolds and a cutout. It is not that loud to me I would prefer it to be louder, but not extremly. So with that being said I am probably going to buy pasecetter headers this week and I cannot decide what exhaust to get. Any help would be appreciated.
