QTP's came today, I have a question though.
Hey peeps. My QTP's came today along with my new gaskets and stage 8 locking bolts so im super stoked right now. I am replacing my Pacesetters that actually blew a hole right where the egr valve is welded to one of the header tubes. Anyway they look great and I cant wait to get them on. Here is my question. Will these fit my TSP catted Y-pipe or should I plan on getting a custom Y-pipe, Cause Im not buying QTP's after reading so many bad things about them. I want to keep my Current y-pipe and exhaust and just swap the Pacesetters out for the QTP's. Would this work?
I originally wanted to go with a ORY and Corsa exhaust but think Im just going to keep my magnaflow cause I like the way it sounds plus I think the corsa and ory would be way to raspy for me. The magnaflow is kind of a deep note and I want to keep it that way.

ya i think you can definitely make it work, I have the old normal merge collector QTP's with a TSP Y-pipe and mine fits fine. I would give it a try worst case scenario cut the y out zip tie the nd of your cat back up and drive to an exhaust shop and have them modify it to work or have a custome one built.
oh and the headers look awesome, i love seeing shiny new headers

Honestly, I got both sets of my QTPs to fit okay between my SLP SFCs. Clearance was still really tight, honestly, but it wasn't too bad. I think I ended up trimming about couple sections of pipe to get it to work better. In the end, my cats' went bad, so I replaced them, and reconfigured the driver's side of the pipe to fit better and couldn't be happier. The only thing I would change now is if it was stainless like their LTs.

When i put the QTP's on the Pacesetters will go up for sale. They have been welded back where they blew a hole, but Im just not happy and know I will be with the QTP's

The locking clips are a waste of time, IMO, those bolts will never come loose. When I took mine (QTP's) off after they were on for 4 years they were all tight as hell still. I didn't put the clips back on, and after another 3 years they're still tight as they can be.
The clips are just a pain in the ***. Just re-tighten the bolts after 2-3 times having driven the car and you'll be all set for years and years. Just like you re-tighten head bolts after a couple heats cycles.

My problem was I couldn't find a decent exhaust guy who could fabricate a custom Y.
Finally went with the ARH system.

Is that last post toward me? If so.
Are the stock motor mounts made of rubber?
Is it just best to replace them while the headers are out and save the trouble for when they do get bad?
My car has 22,000 miles on it so I doubt they are bad, but this does give me the excuse to buy another aftermarket product to make my car better.
I was Thinking about this the other night and forgot to research it alittle more, thanks for reminding me

Yep, that was to you
The stockers are made of rubber and I think it would be a good idea to replace them. I started a thread a little while back showing how tight the fit was on my car and that was when my car only had about 52k miles. You have less than half the milage I have but with the rubber mounts going on 6-7 years old there's a chance you'll run into issues. I was able to barely squeek out enough rooom so they don't bang but when it's under heavy load I do get a couple taps here and there. If you choose to change them out it makes it sooooooooooooooooo much easier with the exhaust out of the way.
