Default Help!!! Having trouble disconnecting fuel line

I have the ls6 intake on my 01 car and trying to swap everything to the FAST intake. I went to Autozone and picked up a 3/8 fuel line disconnect tool. I can't seem to remove it. Am i doing something wrong. it seems so simple. Maybe i have the wrong tool. Mine looks different than the tool used in the ls1howto writeup.

Does anyone know where to get the correct one so i can make this swap?

Thanks in advance

I had the same problem, something was "stuck". After 2 days of messing with it I was pissed enought to wedge the fuel line aginst the coil and with the disconnect tool inserted all the way use a screw driver and a mallet and it came right off. Good luck.

After inserting the disconnect tool into the coupler, push the fuel line inward (towards the head)while pulling the coupler backward.

Turn the disconnect tool a little.
There is a gap that might not hit one of the three tangs that are inside the connector.

You have to push the fuel disconnect tool and the couple toward each other and then back off the fuel rail together. The first time I tried to disconnect mine it took 15 minutes of messing around the second time took 5 seconds Good luck.
