Default Header bolts, rusty (sat for winter)

Hi all,

replaced headers last July with PS LT's, I re-used my old header bolts. No problems at all rest of year. November, I stopped driving the car like I always do and I am currently getting it ready for spring, but noticed that the header bolt's and other areas on the LT's are rusty. I just dont remember the header bolts being rusty while on the old headers. And I was under the impression that the new headers were not going to get rusty. Should I consider the header bolts a problem? Remove them and purchase new ones? I probably should have done so anyway, but I did a lot of research on the site here and read that many people just re-use the bolts. Any other suggestions for the rust on the LT's? I am assuming its just from sitting all winter.

Thanks in advance.

Should be fine. I really doubt the bolts are going to rust out any time soon.

I havnt used my car as much as i used to and noticed the same thing. I guess it is due to the inactivity and lets the rust settle in. In the past year ive only gone about 5k miles.....

There is a nice stainless exhaust stud kit on eBay for $48 + $5 shipping. I just bought a set.. can't wait to put them on.

if you're going to buy new header bolts, their size are m8*1.5*30mm

If you want bolts that won't rust or come loose, these are THE best.
