I have a friend that wants to sell me his BBK 80mm TB for 100 bucks..I am stock minus a Lid, built tranny, and soon to be Magnaflow catback this weekend w/ cutout..

Is it worth the money?

You would be better off just porting your stocker...

dude just get a dremel and spend an hour grounding down the cylinder. It's not hard and youll get alot of satisfaction from doing it yourself. Plus you can use that hundred for a night out with your new found power. Just refrain from wanting to do the "knifes edge". This is where alot of people screw up. Stick to porting the cylinder and you will be in good shape.

ls1 is 75mm, ls6 is 78mm

/\ - Just an FYI, while I applaud any "do it yourself'er" I do not recommend porting a TB with a dremel. You can take out the lump before the blade with a dremel, but thats about it and there's a lot more to porting a TB than just removing material. It's more about where it's removed, the sanding, blending, etc. There's no possible way to properly port a TB with a dremel.

If you spend a couple hours using several different heads and experiencing aggrivating kneck pains you can get VERY close. : P. you could just take it apart, mark where it meets the wall/bore and save yourself alot of effort. Theres a nice guide online i can post up if your interested. Just let me know.

The 80mm buys you nothing on an 75mm inlet manifold. Ported stocker is your best bet.
